Artist Statement

My mosaic work is an attempt to represent the wonders of nature and the universe in a contemporary way that is challenging and beautiful.
All my work seems to be set in the present, in the moment, in the “alive”, highlighting the movements and flows of time… and its rhythms… like a piece of life imagery to make us think about the instant.

Sample Projects and feedbacks

Strawberry fields Nursery (2007) (commercial project)

Commissioned by Andy Sturgeon, landscape designer and 3 times Chelsea Flower Show gold medalist, the project involved a 14 meter long permanent mural for a private nursery in Notting Hill

The standard of craft was exceptional and was matching exactly the initial design. I am very impressed with Nathalie’s work, she gives life to matter in a very subtle and beautiful way. Andy Sturgeon

Water mural (2007) (private home)

Water mural, 1.9m x 0.4m, for private home in Putney, London.

I am truly delighted with the work, which really captures the essence of the room. Nothing compares to having an artist design something for your individual setting – all my friends have commented on it! Jan-Hendrik Erasmus

The Brighton Artist Gallery (2002) (commercial project)

Commissioned by Alicia Murphy, director of the BAG. The client wanted to add contemporary mosaic features on the floor of her gallery space.

When I saw Nathalie's portfolio I instantly fell in love with her work. I was looking to add something permanent to a space that is always in constant movement. Alicia Murphy
