During my workshops you can choose to come to an introduction to mosaic if you're a beginner; learn new techniques if you've made mosaics before; or delve deep into complex areas if you're a more advanced practitioner – all in a spirit of maximum freedom of choice.
The emphasis is on minimal theory and maximum hands-on creation.
After some initial tutoring on the techniques you will be thrown directly into your own creation. The classes are flexible and come in the form of either weekend group sessions (where you can come for 1 day or for the entire weekend), or one-to-one Master tutoring scheduled around a mutually suitable time during the week.
With all my classes, the day begins with a brief introduction on “How to create a mosaic design” followed by the stages of sculpting a tile into any shape of your choosing so your mosaic-making can evolve freely. I will then advise and guide you on your individual journey providing useful tips, insights and troubleshooting assistance from my years of experience.
1 day: You will leave the class with your piece and with a great sense of what mosaic is all about! The class starts at 10am until 4.30 pm.
2 to 3 day: Designed for all level of abilities. Techniques that might be experimented with are working on mesh, using the indirect method, working on a 3D base or exploring mosaic for outdoor mosaic projects etc. The class starts at 10am until 4.30 pm.

Master classes designed around your needs and aspirations. The classes are scheduled around a mutually suitable time only during the week. The class starts at 10am until 4.30 pm.

With Nathalie’s Master classes you will not learn how to use traditional materials with traditional tools such as the hammer and hardie, you will not learn to make portraits with a specific technique and you will not use traditional materials such as marble.
Nathalie’s course will aim to familiarise students with the ideas and intentions behind the practice of making a mosaic piece. Based rather on themes or ideas, students will explore their own creativity in a very contemporary way. Concepts such as: “The Future and Time”, “Repetitions and Rhythms”, “Colours and textures” will be explored.
